Thank you Mirah for writing this article. You explained a lot and with tact. Thank you.

Yet, I am confused. There are few things you say about being woke that probably many pro-workers would disagree with you.

You wrote “For me, being woke means treating others as you wish to be treated; WWJD. That means being kind and considerate, not bigoted or hateful. It means being empathetic and having compassion.”

Attending BLM meetings for over three months, I can testify that they have compassion on blacks, but they taught me to hate the white system along with those who are in it. One of my greatest difficulties attending was all the hate they tried to stir up.

You also wrote “ Being woke and aware does it in any way imply or suggest superiority or having exclusive ownership of a high moral ground, no more than being conservative or “Christian” does. The woke do not proselytize nor pushing their beliefs down anyone else’s throat. That would be disrespectful and totally contrary to the very definition of being woke.“

Again, this does not seem true. I have books written by woke authors that openly teach methods of proselytizing on collage campuses and that openly claim that the motivation for converting the world to woke is that the rest of the world yet dies not have the moral high ground that wokers believe they do.

Finally, you wrote that Woke does not seek to cancel differing opinions. Mirah, with all respect, that is totally not true. All of my woke friends, and believe me, I have a lot of woke friends, would tell you in a heart beat, their inner most desire is to cancel male oriented western culture.

Please take this with a grain of salt. I really don’t mean to be pesky or problematic. I just felt really confused reading your articke.
